Getting kids into the sport of golfing may seem simple at first... pick up a set of clubs, a few kids golf shirts, maybe a pair of youth golf shoes, and then hit the range! Once your children are hooked onto golf, everything can begin to spiral out of control. You may begin asking yourself how do you keep your children engaged with sport of golf without overwhelming your schedule or your pocket book.
Fortunately there are several resources available for junior golfers and families to keep kids involved with the sport of golf. Access to these organizations will vary by region, and all might not be available. Therefore, we always recommend speaking with the golf pro at your country club or local golf course to get their opinion on the availability and quality of programs in your area.
Below are a highlights of a few large scale programs that you can review as you keep your children golfer's engaged.

First Tee is helping to break these barriers down and expand the sport of golf to all by empowering all kids with new challenges and experiences to build strength, confidence, and resilience in all things that kids do. If First Tee isn't for your kids, consider supporting this organization so other kids have an opportunity to learn the game.

Operation 36
Operation 36 is a great program that revolutionizes the way kids (and adults) learn to golf. Kids start learning 25 yards from the hole and need to shoot a 36 (even par) for 9 holes before they push back to the next yardage increment. It's a great way for beginners to stay engaged and build confidence as they grow in the sport.
